Changing the APN

Go to Settings > More (Wireless & Networks) > mobile Networks > Jio SIM Tab > Access Point Names

Create a new APN, with the following values:

Name – JioNew
APN – jionet
Proxy – Not Set
Port – Not Set
Username – Not Set
Password – Not Set
Server – Google
MMSC – Not Set
MMS proxy – Not Set
MMS port – Not Set
MCC – 405
MNC – 857, 863 or 874 (Any one of these)

APN Type – Default
Authentication type – Not Set
APN Protocol – IPv4/IPv6

Now save this APN and select it as default. If APN is not saved after clicking on “Save” then try again without changing the MNC value.

APN or Access Point Name, as defined by Wikipedia, is the name of gateway that connects your device to a network. Here, you are changing the APN to “jionet”.
